After having been transferred from New Caledonia to Australia, and temporarily held at Liverpool until 23 January 1942, WAKISAKA was transferred to Loveday on 25 January 1942. He was admitted to the Barmera Base Hospital on 21 September 1942. He was transferred to work at the Moorook West (Wood Camp) on 1 March 1943, but was readmitted to the Barmera Hospital on 12 March 1943.
