SATORI was first admitted to the 2/14 Australian General Hospital, and then to the 3 Australian Camp Hospital (Brisbane) on 7 April 1943. He was interned in Gaythorne on 10 April 1943, then transferred to Cowra on 22 May 1943. He received a gun shot wound during the breakout, and died at the 15 Australian Camp Hospital on 6 August 1944.
